Aloha and congratulations to Dr. Keith Sakuda for his outstanding leadership and dedication in keeping our Japanese community strong and vibrant. My deepest appreciation to the incoming Board of Directors for your willingness to serve and carry the banner of UJSH. Your passion and volunteerism are the heart and soul of this organization. Also, a special congratulations to our award recipients: your contributions to the UJSH and the Japanese community are invaluable.
It is a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as your President for the 66th year of UJSH. Our theme, “次世代のために” Jisedai no tame ni (for the next generation), is a call to action. We must safeguard the rich heritage our ancestors built and ensure a vibrant Japanese American community for generations to come. Let’s protect our culture, grow our community, and strengthen our Japanese identity. By working together, we can achieve great things. When our community unites, we are unstoppable. Thank you for your unwavering support.
Yutasurugutu unigee sabira. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
I look forward to a year of connection and collaboration.
